Bewitched: A Modern Shakespearean Spoiler Recap

Act I: The Meeting of Enchantment

Isabel: “Oh, sweet San Fernando Valley! Here I am, a witch with a heart, yearning for a mundane existence!”

Jack Wyatt: “Hark! What light through yonder window breaks? Is it a bird? A plane? No, ’tis a stunning witch in a Starbucks!”

Isabel: “I shall forsake my powers for love, or at least for a decent cup of coffee!”

Act II: The Audition

Jack: “I need a Samantha for my new ‘Bewitched’! You, my enchanting stranger, are perfect!”

Isabel: “But Jack, I am but a humble witch! My spells often go awry!”

Jack: “Fear not! I shall teach you the fine art of acting… and how to not turn the director into a toad!”

Act III: The Stage is Set

Isabel: “Thus, I shall don the mantle of Samantha! A life of normalcy awaits!”

Jack: “And I, the illustrious Darrin! Together, we shall conquer the ratings!”

Isabel: “But what if my powers slip? I cannot have the world knowing I can wiggle my nose and alter reality!”

Act IV: The Misadventures

Jack: “Behold! The scene where I must woo you in a romantic embrace!”

Isabel: “I shall make it authentic with a flick of my wrist… Oops! Now you’re wearing a chicken suit!”

Jack: “This is not how I envisioned my comeback! But, I must admit, you do make a fine chicken!”

Act V: The Climax of Chaos

Jack: “Why does my life feel like a sitcom gone wild? Isabel, reveal thy true self!”

Isabel: “Alas, I am a witch! But I have chosen love over magic!”

Jack: “Fear not! For I love you, chicken suit and all!”

Act VI: The Resolution

Isabel: “Perhaps I can keep my powers… but only for good!”

Jack: “A witch who embraces her magic? What a plot twist worthy of a season finale!”

Isabel: “And I shall use my magic to ensure our series stays on air! No more chicken suits!”

Final Curtain:

Jack: “Thus ends our tale! A witch and her man, navigating love and laughter!”

Isabel: “And remember, my dear audience, that true love is the greatest spell of all!”
